Wendelyn joined Shell from a background in corporate law. She is the global Policy and Advocacy Adviser, Upstream Decarbonisation. In this role, she works with regional teams in over 70 countries providing guidance, articulating policies, and driving the implementation of best practices in upstream decarbonisation. Wendelyn has worked across the Upstream value chain delivering sustainability expertise in various parts of the energy industry ranging from front end project design as Non-technical Risk Integrator, Stakeholder Relations Lead for assets, Corporate Relations Adviser for Major NLNG Projects and for Well engineering. She is an Encroachment and Oil Spills specialist and an accomplished Social Performance adviser, providing energy access guidance in displacement settings across the globe. Wendelyn is an internationally trained lawyer with a passion for driving sustainable change and building resilient communities.
