Naadira Ogeer is a senior adviser in the Commonwealth Secretariat’s Ocean and Natural Resources Advisory Division with over 20 years experience in the energy sector.  Naadira advises governments in sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific on policies and strategy, fiscal regimes, legal and regulatory frameworks and managing the energy transition. Her work includes building capacity through tailored training, knowledge networks and products.  Naadira is also actively engaged in various international forums to foster knowledge-sharing, promote best practices and develop frameworks for a just, inclusive and equitable energy transition. Prior to her role at the Commonwealth Secretariat, Naadira held senior strategy and commercial positions at BP and worked in Trinidad, Scotland, Houston and London.  Naadira holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management from the University of the West Indies, an MBA from London Business School and is also a CFA® charter holder.
